Bozeman Spirits Distillery is a family owned business and our staff is an extension of our family. We all bond over our love for our beautiful state and the products we bring to the people of Montana. The dedicated staff includes co-owners, Jim and Mary Pat along with our all-star distillers and tasting room members.

Jim Harris
Co-founder
Jim co-founded Bozeman Spirits in 2014 with his wife Mary Pat. Jim is an avid skier by winter and fisherman by summer. He moved to Bozeman in ’92 to attend MSU (among other things) and has been in the Gallatin Valley ever since. Jim has always been a big supporter of Montana industry and has a passion for local business & entrepreneurship.
Jim’s favorite spirits are the 1883 Bozeman Rye & the Cold Spring Lemon Vodka, but you will most likely catch him with a “Fun Abby” A.K.A. a margarita with the Arrestado Agave.
Mary Pat Harris
Co-founder
Mary Pat (or MP as we call her) co-founded Bozeman Spirits with her husband Jim in 2014. Mary Pat hails from Miles City and moved to Bozeman in ’90 to attend MSU. She has a passion for building Montana business, hoping to grow Montana jobs by supporting agriculture, manufacturing and tourism. She heads up all sales and marketing with liquor stores, vendors and restaurants. When off the road, MP is spending time with her two sons, on the river or the slopes, attending sporting events and working with local non-profits.
Mary Pat’s favorite spirits are the Jim Bridger Bourbon & the Cold Spring Huckleberry Vodka.
Cortney Peres
Head Distiller
Cortney is from Glendive, MT and moved to Bozeman to attend MSU and play in the marching band. She has been working as a distiller with Bozeman Spirits since 2015 and has a way with producing top tier spirits. Cortney has many passions outside of distilling amazing spirits, however. She plays the bass in the Bozeman & Helena symphony, teaches fitness classes and music lessons, loves to bake and most importantly spending time with her dog, Senna.
Cortney’s favorite spirits are the Cold Spring Lemon Vodka & the Prairie Schooner Rum.
Tim Mastas
Distiller
Born & raised in Lowell, MA, Tim has worked in the alcohol industry since 2016. His passion brought him to Bozeman Spirits Distillery in 2022 to pursue distilling as a profession. The Montana lifestyle is perfect fit for Tim and his dog Nike. The two of them are always on a hike exploring the beautiful MT trails.

Tim’s favorite spirit is the Montana 1889 Bourbon.
Abby Ross
Sales & Marketing
Born & raised in Bozeman, MT, Abby is a 4th generation Montanan. She is an MSU graduate and has worked with Bozeman Spirits since 2020. Abby is now Mary Pat’s right hand gal in sales and marketing. Abby & her French Bulldog, Millie, love everything her home state has to offer. Catch her on the ski hill in the winter and on a river, lake or at a concert in the summer.
